Our Review Methodology

Every review on this site follows a consistent evaluation process:

1. Hands-On Testing

We sign up for free trials or demos and use the product ourselves. We create test employees, run sample payrolls, build job postings, and click every button we can find.

2. Real-World Scenarios

We test common HR workflows: onboarding a new hire, processing a termination, running a payroll cycle, posting a job and reviewing applicants. If it's frustrating in a demo, it'll be worse in production.

3. Pricing Transparency

We hunt down real pricing—not just "contact us for a quote." When pricing isn't public, we provide estimates based on industry research and reader reports.

4. User Research

We supplement our testing with reviews from G2, Capterra, and direct conversations with HR professionals who use these tools daily.

5. Regular Updates

HR software evolves fast. We revisit reviews quarterly and update them when features, pricing, or our assessment changes significantly.
